We seem to always hear about people doing bad things, but the truth is that many people are doing great things, and there's a lot of good news.

All over the world, in the largest cities and smallest villages, "ordinary" people of all ages are showing extraordinary courage, perseverance and caring to help children, the elderly, the sick, the underprivileged, animals, the environment and many other important causes.

These people are true Heroes of Character, putting their values into action to help others. Is there a special adult in your life who is a Hero of Character?

Share his or her story, and include:

  • First name only
  • Their town/city, state/province, country
  • What they did or are doing that is so extraordinary and is really making a difference
  • If you have permission, share a photo of your Hero, or a video of them in action from You Tube. Make sure you explain what they're doing in the photo/video

We'll post the most inspiring stories in our Blog.

If you're an adult and you'd like to recognize an outstanding young person (under 18 years old) who's doing great things in your community, you can nominate him/her for our Young Heroes Award. Winners will get an award! We'll share their story on our website and at a special exhibit at the National Liberty Museum.
